for all you mac guys

Yep I sure miss the virus's and the blue screen of death lol. Jobs is no angel but I think Gates is just as bad or worse so at that point I guess you pick which os you prefer. for me its OS X and android....Linus has come a long way since the old Linux .99 days.

You might want to read this brief article if you really think Gates is a bad guy.

Gates vs. Jobs: who is the good guy?

You're just as bad as an Apple fanboi :)

i know. im ok with it. lol.

well now that i thank about it, i dont think so. you see i ONLY hate apple. i like winmo phones as well as android. i like android better, but i was really happy with my omnia. android is a great os. i would like to see more done with it, like adapting it for a pc or laptop. i love windows 7, but i think android would be good to add some non-evil nazi compitition.

i have a kindle and prefer a kindle, but i dont hate the nook or the sony reader.

nope, i just hate steve jobs and every thing he has.

Come on man own up, you drink teh Koolaid.:D Vista was good?! Lol

i had a big fat ZERO, on the problems list. it ran fine. it never crashed, it wasnt buggy, i didnt get viruses. just because people dont take the time to get to know the new os, doesnt mean the os is bad.

for some reason folks insist on using mac crap. for alot of the stuff, like usb mass storage you need a pc.

A PC is not required for USB Mass Storage. USB MSD is a defined standard, and it is supported by PCs, Macs and machines running Linux.

What is needed for USB Mass Storage is for Verizon to cease breaking the USB MSD functionality of the Fascinate by loading their crap on top of what's already there for MSD.

I have six different computers, two running XP, one running Vista, one running Linux and two Macs running both Snow Leopard and Windows 7 in VMWare Fusion virtual machines (you might say I'm a bit of a hobbyist). When Verizon broke USB MSD functionality with DL09, it broke on every single one of my machines. As soon as I converted to EB01 SC, USB MSD compatibility was restored, even on the Macs.

Food for thought - maybe it's time for folks to accept the fact that, at the end of the day, the BEST phone/computer/OS/etc., is the one that YOU spend YOUR hard earned money on. Does it really matter what others choose to buy and use?

lol. NO! :p

you are right of course. it is however my understanding that a pc is required for odin. odin turns bricks into phones. it was my intention to share these links to help folks out that get stuck and need odin, software is expensive. as i said before i hate mac, not the folks that use them. i was trying to be a good nieghbor.

In all seriousness -- Download and burn a bootable Linux live CD or USB stick.

Boot with it
Mount real HDD
Plug in phone
do whatever you want.

Amazing how well a linux system works with the linux kernel that Andoid works on.

I don't buy into the PC tax hypothesis for my phone.
