After I finally forced my gray/black BG case off to see if it had left any scratches on the back cover (which it did) and noticed after reinstalling the BG case, my lock ring was not working as consistantly as it was before my initial removal. For about 30 minutes of reinstalling the gray part only, the black part only and trying the lock ring during those times, the lock ring worked better with the case OFF.
Now I would not have even bought the case in the first place but once the case was installed by T-Mobile at the store, we could not get it off, so they offered me a discount on the case and a free screen protector and I was on my way.

I think I need to try one of those perforated cases and see how it works...........

Those cases fit too tight.. when I got my sensation, they talked me out of it because they said that they were having similar problems. They told me that they were thinking about taking them off the floor. Body Glove products are made to fit snug... Just not that snug!

It took me a little to get used to it. I can get it off and on perfectly now. Use a coin or the back of a key and put it in the little notch, then twist to the right and the corner will pop off. The rest comes off easily.
I love mine. I hated it at first and started looking around for a new one, but I like it the most.

You have the snap-on case. We're referring to the slide-on case. I had the snap-on case prior and it wouldn't snap shut anymore a week after I bought it. If I were you, I would not open and close the case too often.
