For anyone having charging issues with stock power adapter

So for the last week or so, i've noticed that when I unplug my phone from overnight charging, its no where near fully charged. After about 6-7 hours plugged in, it would only be at about 70%-80%. I found it a bit curious and finally had a chance to do some troubleshooting last night.

I already have a battery widget installed, so I used it to let me know what is going on.

I plugged my phone in at bedtime around 11:30 am, the phone was at 19%, and the widget stated that I was connected to AC power charging. When I woke up this morning around 7am, the phone was only at 60% and stated USB Charging. Ah Ha! Found the issue.

Now, i'm not sure why it went from AC to USB charging (I checked both ends to make sure the usb cable was secure) but i'm hoping that it is just a faulty adapter and google will replace it. I have another adapter that I am using now and I will see if I get the same results or not. This should clarify where the issue is.

Hope this helps anyone with apparent slow or no charge issues. I know i've seen many threads regarding similar issues, but have dismissed them as "Eh, they are probably not using the stock charger". I stand corrected now!
I took a quick screenshot of the widget I use for reference.

I had the same issue. I took it to the T-Mobile store I bought it from and they swapped out the charger and I've had no problems since.

Yea, I just called Google and they were awesome but unfortunatly as mentioned in another thread, they don't just replace the charger. They are sending me a whole NEW phone and charger as per Google Policy. It is not a refurb.

I don't mind personally, especially since i've been having a slightly annoying display problem that pops up once in a while but I learned to deal with.

All in all great experience with google support!

That's good to hear about G support.

Are they sending the new one first before you have to return?
