For anyone not getting update read this!!

I think some areas haven't deployed it yet.
Just like some EVO owners - just because their phone is supposed to be 4G their area may not have it.

So, those who have done the update now have phones capable of 1000+ upload speeds, the network in your area may not be ready. Just a guess is all.

(Im)patiently waiting for update!

Hi all,

I am in the Houston area and I have checked for this update numerous times just to be told my phone is up to date (which it is not). Anyone else in Houston out there and did you get it yet?

Thank you,
Kellye

Spontaneous reboot

I finally was able to get the update yesterday here in Central Missouri. Afterwards I did several manual reboots. This morning, while reading reading my FB page, the phone rebooted on its own. I'll be interested to see if this is a one of or a bug in the update.

You have to do a soft rest after the update. Shut the phone off, remove the battery for a second and then restart the phone and you should see faster speeds

I was able to do the update tonight in Missouri. I havent seen a major difference in speeds yet.

soooo, in Tampa area, just got the update this morning. prelim results were good, 2645 dn, 911 up. And then, I manually rebooted. Twice. Battery Pull , then reseat and reboot. now, im barely cracking 662 dwn and 107 up. I am LESS than impressed. What the heck?

If you're in an area that hasn't had the 4G enhancements done yet, chances are you won't see any increase in download speeds. You should, however, see that the upload speeds no longer max out at 400kbps. The biggest thing that will affect network speeds is traffic. I've seen my speeds cut by more than half at certain times. It's just the nature of the beast until AT&T beefs up the network and removes all the bottlenecks.
