For real this time too: EC10 kernels

Updated Nonvoodoo and do notice some speed increases. Very nice. Ran a Benchmark and went from 970 to 997 with nonvoodoo, so very nice indeed.

Will see if any increase in battery.

So will this work with DL30? looked through all 27 pages, and a few other threads and couldn't find a clear answer.
And why DL30 you ask? It just works best for me for some reason.
Thanks guys.

I am using this on EB01 Stock deodexed/debloated. Not sure if it would work for DL30, but one way to find out is to backup your rom in nandroid, then flash it. If it jams, then go back to DL30 kernel and restore your Rom from nandroid.

Edit: Does anyone know if I am running d/d eb01 with EC10 Kernel, if I can now run a boot animation?

I might just give it a try, do you know where I can find the DL30 kernel? couldn't find it anywhere,

And yeah you should be able to use boot animations, Adrynalyne usually includes that feature with all his kernels.

OK, So I decided to go for it, so far so good everything's working as it should so far.
Also decided to take the Voodoo plunge in the same go, Just ran a 1552 in Quadrant Benchmark, I was running around 900-950 at most when non Voodoo.

So for those still on DL30 afraid to give it a go, It is working flawless so far for me, VERY glad I switched kernels, and very happy with the Voodoo conversion.
Thank you community, This is why I love AC!

Uhh ohh! my phone just ran into the living room and started playing C.O.D. on my xbox360!!! What should I do? Its better than me! I dont think I can beat it!

I think everything but the EB01 kernel supports boot animations, but not sound yet.

Is it just me - since moving to the EC10 kernel my GPS location is off. It finds it quick enough, but has me about 300 yards to the South of where I am. If I wanted to return to the kernel that came with SC 2.9 which one would I choose (so I can see if that is the cause)?

Assuming I would want the "eb01_nonvoodoo.zip" but I just wanted to be sure. Thanks

That would be the right one. Download it to your SD card and flash it in CWM. After you see the big blue text flash and it goes back into recovery you are good to re-boot.

Also just want to make sure everything is running correctly also. Are you using google maps? If so, for best results make sure you do two things every time you want to use google maps to check GPS or for anything related to GPS: 1) go menu=>settings=>wireless & networking=>wireless settings, turn on wireless; and 2) go menu=>settings=>location & security, and make sure all 3 locations services are activated.

Need help please, I was running 2.9.1nvsc and upgraded to ec10. Speed performance is great but the battery is dropping like a rock when on 3g service. At home and at work on wifi with two bars showing on the phone side of things, the battery will barely drop, maybe 2-3% in 4-5 hrs. I think it would go for almost two days if I let it. My question is what causes this size of a drop in battery life on 3g? The modem? The kernel?.
I've done the bstats process before and after ec10 with no noticeable difference. I've also reset the roaming service (*228,2) thinking that may help but again not much diff. I don't know if a diff. modem would do anything?.I was having good luck on Dl09 with Eclair, but would that be the right thing to do with 2.9sc or not?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It could be the modem, or the kernel mostly. The rom can cause issues with various services being abused too. The whole thing is like a giant game of pickup sticks. Move the wrong thing and the whole pile shifts.
