For those having group texting issues - how I quickly remedied the problem.

I spent hours, and I mean hours researching this issue. I saw I'm far from the only one that switched from an iPhone to a Galaxy or other Android device. I tried literally everything I saw here to fix the problem;

-group text apps
-turning off iMessage
-turning off wifi
-un-registering iphone from itunes etc
-other things I'm probably forgetting.

Still had the issue. I got fed up and didn't want to spend/waste any more time on it.

My fix? I changed my phone number. Everything works flawlessly now.

I realize some of you might not want to do that and consider it a hassle or whatever, but I assure you that it was a quick fix and now I'm done with it. It was quicker to do that and send an email/facebook message/mass text and tell everyone I changed my number than to spend any more time researching this issue.

I have no issues with Group messaging....
And it works perfect with my friends (GS4, iP5, N4, and RAZR HD)

Yeah, that's why the title says FOR THOSE HAVING ISSUES.

There's plenty of threads here of people looking for a solution, I found them by googling for a fix myself. That's how I found this forum.

I had no problem receiving individual texts from any of my contacts with iPhones, only group texting. Again, this worked for me, and might for others having mystery issues. Just offering up what worked for me as there are still a ton of people out there scratching their heads who have tried everything I have up until the point I decided to try changing my number.

I am having the same issue. Been with iPhone for a long time and now group messaging is SHOT. It makes sense that changing your number would work since all the people with iphones are still registering your number as an iPhone. Thanks for the tip. Now to decide it changing my number is worth it!
