That was a good read. I spend a lot of time in the interior computer labs at the school at which I teach, and those cinder-block walls kill reception with AT&T...though not as bad as Sprint or Verizon here in D/FW though. My iPhone 3GS here gets better reception than Verizon and Sprint iPhone 4S in the same spot, so this should be a good sign if I get this phone or the HTC Vivid with my pending upgrade. Thanks!

Just so everyone is on the same page, that 700Mhz band is only for data, so if your GSM portion is connected to higher frequency, your voice experience will still suffer. Definitely awesome for data!
