For those who had the SGS2

Wait so is the adreno 225 weaker than the gpu in the sgs2? The bench marks show it a little better but dunno !

For purely 3d limited scenarios yes... There wasnt time to get the next iteration of the Ad Reno line integrated with the S4 Krait. I'm not suggesting the Krait solution is bad...its another illustration of just how good the Mali is (and how ahead of its time the GS2 really was)

Sent from my Evo LTE using 3g...because Sprint needs to get their collective asses in gear

So would I have trouble playing high graphic games such as nova 3? Cause nova 3 does lag at times on my sgs2 like intense shoot outs very rare tho! but besides that it is amazingly smooth.

Hard to say - the portions you speak of might be more CPU than GPU dependant - in which case you'd see some better performance. I think the bigger issue you're going to run into is waiting for devs to update their compatiabilty for new devices - there are several games (Nova 3 being a good example) that won't load on my EVO LTE right now - as the application claims it's "not compatible" according to the market. Don't know if it's as bad on the GS3 - but it's annoying to say the least.

I see guess I'll give it a go can always return it in 14 days if needed!

I've really been struggling with this decision as well. I have an E4GT and it can still run with the current phones out imo. Obviously getting a new phone every year isn't quite optimal financially and my upgrade date isn't until November so would have to negotiate an early upgrade with Sprint. I'm wondering if it's truly worth all the hassle and $$$. I've also been thinking about prepaid, as two lines on Sprint really isn't all that cheap; cheaper than the others, yes, but still pricey. Maybe getting the next Nexus unlocked and doing Straight Talk would be a good way to go. The GS3 does look fantastic though, so it's awfully tempting. If the screen is THAT much better and the data speeds and signal is greatly improved then it's an even tougher decision still. Anyone else in a similar type of predicament?

The phones make the GS2 look as if it was 2 years old. Better at doing everything!! You maybe hindered by Sprints 3g speeds though.

does the SGS III lock on to Russian GLONASS satellites?

Someone else said no but I'm going to say yes. With any other phone I've had, the most satellites I could pick up were 9 or 10. With the gs3, I consistently pick up 19. This leads me to believe that it is finding the glonass satellites as well.
