So for those of you who have a 32GB Pixel/Pixel XL are you OK on storage? I have a galaxy S7 edge right now and I am thinking about a Pixel XL in the next month or so and I am debating between the 32 and 128GB phone. My S7 edge is a 32GB phone and I am using 27.8GB on that but that is mostly pics/videos which I can put on the cloud and don't really need access to them all the time anyway. The 128GB phone would be way too much space I would never come close to using it plus the availability issue with them. I'm thinking of going 32GB this time around d and hope for a 64GB on the next pixel.

I'm just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the 32GB phone. I stream all my music so no music storage is needed. My storage is all apps or pics/videos.

My first Pixel was an XL 32GB. I thought that was going to be enough. Fortunately, I came across a regular Pixel with 128 GB. Now I don't have to always worry not having enough space. I can focus more on
Utilizing my device better.

Photos and videos are the main type of media that take up space on my wife's 32GB Pixel.

We back them up with Google Photos so space hasn't been an issue.

I do not own a Pixel phone, but I can already say ABSOLUTELY NOT! Worse, the phone doesn't even have a card slot. It'd have to be 128GB minimum if I were to buy a smartphone with no expandable card slot.

I have 32Gb Pixel, have used 19 Gb so far, mostly for photos and videos. I don't take many videos and so far I have not deleted photos taken with the Pixel ( which are uploaded for cloud back up, you can choose to upload only when connected to wifi or whilst being charged and on wifi, I choose the latter.). I don't store music. Although I have no problem with storage so far if I were you and extra money available I would go with the 128 Gb version.

I'd get the largest option you are comfortable paying for. Give yourself that extra space and peace of mind.

It isn't the problem of cost. It is the problem of availability. I don't want to have to wait months to get a 128GB Pixel XL.

I keep my music collection on my phone and I travel a lot so I played it safe and went with a 128GB Pixel. I can't rely on the cloud or streaming music when out of country as roaming data charges are astronomical and hotel WiFi can be hit or miss.

It depends on how you normally use the device.

I can't speak to your usage, but I currently have 108 apps installed and have 14.45 GB out of 29.70 GB free. I have some music and audible content cached locally and haven't even come close to maxing my phone. Perfectly happy with the 32 GB version.

Got it. That is a much bigger factor. The phone is awesome but the wait is nonsense. I'd move on to something else. I wouldn't want to have storage anxiety.

I think this is definitely one of those situations where it is just very dependant on how you persoanlly use your phone. Honestly I think 32gb would probably suffice for the vast majority of users but there are definitely those who need the additional space. For example my wife has a 32gb pixel and I have a 128. She's using just under half of her storage space, and so am I to the tune of 54gb on my phone. However where I work I have fairly poor phone reception so I like to have a lot of media (mostily podcasts and music) on hand so I don't have to deal with constant interuptions when the signal fades. For her though her phone is mainly a portal to Facebook, and a way to take photos and text friends, and since she is almost never is out of range of a strong signal 32gb is more than enough for her.

It is definitely enough if you:
1. Stream your music and movies.
2. Use the cloud for pictures and videos.
3. Are not a massive hoarder of apps and especially games.

I have had my Pixel for about 3 months now and I have: 68 apps installed with 3 of these games I play every day, stream my music but do have my "liked" songs downloaded from Google Play Music, I use pocketcasts for my podcasts but always delete an episode after its played, use the cloud for my pictures and videos, and currently am at 13.50 GB used of my 29.70 GB allotment. Even if I go on a trip and need to download some stuff when I can't have connection, I have more than enough cushion to do so.

Hope that helps.

32GB is not enough at all, not for me. The fact that you asked this question means you have doubts too.

Get one with a larger storage option, or get a different phone.

As many others said it really depends on your usage of the phone. I have unlimited data so I am heavy on streams. That said.. I still snagged the 128 GB version so if I go on a plane or whatever I have more than enough space for movies and my Google Play Music playlists.

As you can see since I'm not on a plane.. I have a good amount of space haha.

Wow. You really don't keep anything on your phone, do you?

I have a 256GB iPhone 7 Plus and 150GB or so are used already, mostly with music and videos.
