I just received my extended battery case from htc pedia

Just a short review of the red extended battery case.

One word "AWESOME". I was concerned about the case adding extra girth onto the already huge phone, but to my surprise it doesn't seem to add any extra weight. The reason being is the case is just a gel shell (if you will). It covers out the outtermost of the phone.

The phone in the back is still exposed for the extended battery part which is a negative. You could still drop the phone on the back and damage the battery cover. I was anticipating that the whole phone would be covered. IMO if you would buy a regular verizon red gel case and cut the back out of the case you will have yourself an extended battery case without the added cost.

If you are the type that needs an otter box type of case this is NOT for you, again the back is exposed.

If you have any questions ill be happy to answer any.

FYI posted on a few different forums so if you see at a few different places, yep its me lol.

Well it seems like we get to choose between an exposed back with this case or an exposed top and bottom with the Verizon case. I really don't know what to do. I want the extended battery but the lack of good quality protective cases is unsettling.

Trying to decide between the extended battery or an otterbox currently, I don't really need a whole lot of protection, but it is nice to have the peace of mind that my device is protected.

It looks good. I like The idea of the extended battery but I haven't had any use for one just yet. I am able to make it through my work day so that is good enough for me right now. But if my usage changes I may have to pick up the extended battery and one of these bumpers.

I got this same red case and my extended battery in the mail yesterday. I actually like weight and balance of the phone better with the extended battery and the case is very nice. Very happy with the phone, extended battery and the case so far.

I've never had a use for extended battery, on any phone I've had. When the 1st cell phones really got going (remember the late 90's?) the batteries sucked. I got used to having multiple charging cords, costly proprietary ones.

Now with everything the micro-USB, I have a dozen sitting around just about everywhere, home, car, boat, Harley-D, RV, work, laptop case etc. etc.

I do carry a spare battery just in case, but it never sees daylight. The money for the extended is wasted IMO.

Wish I had gotten the extended red case because the normal red one I got doesn't fit the extended battery. Heading to the local store to find one!

So I got my 1/2 price extended battery yesterday in the mail and charged it fully overnight. Normally by now in the afternoon my stock battery would be about 1/2 drained and I'd be charging it again in late afternoon just to know I was good until midnight or so.

But this extended battery here in mid-afternoon shows barely a dent in the drain, and I've actually used my phone more today than normal.

The extra size doesn't bother me for the tradeoff. The only thing that's bugging me is the darn thing spins when I sit it flat on my desk. No biggie. So glad I picked this thing up!

A spinning phone can bring little entertainment to a boring situation. Such as.... a meeting. :D

I decided to get the extended battery today and I ordered the HTC extended battery bumper online. I'm very interested to see what the battery life is going to be. I'm going to keep my phone on performance mode to see how far I can get when it is fully powered. Of I can make it until bedtime with 4G running all day and syncing.everything, I will be a happy customer.

Sent from my HTC Rezound

Extended battery is a must have, not only for the power, but also the feel of the phone. When I got mine, I also at the same time got the extended battery (why not @ 50% off?) and salesman installed right there. few days later, I put the stock battery in. I was actually surprised how cheap it made the phone feel..like almost too light weight..I switched back immediately..Yep..bigger battery...better feel.

What's up with all of the extended battery threads? You guys are making me want one. I would get it if I didn't already commit to this $35 Otterbox case.

Can anyone comment on how the extended battery door affects the performance of the camera? It looks like it might prevent some light from getting to the lens. Comparison shots?? ;)

I LOVE my extended battery! I got 14 hrs out of it yesterday and STILL had 48% battery left! I'm typically okay with having to plug in my phone after an 8hr day at work, but I knew I would need more for the days when I'm on the go from sun up to sun down and needing as much battery time as I can get.

As for the question about the camera performance with the door, well I had the same thoughts but have seen absolutely NO issues when using with the extended battery door. In fact, this is one of the photos I took over the weekend...not edited in any way, shape or form (other than compression from the site when uploaded). And in case you're wondering, yes I've used the flash as well and have seen no performance issues there either.

Sell that pic to Hallmark! Thanks for the response
