What's up people?
If you're having this issue, when did it happen and how bad is it now?
I got a new display last month, now I have screen retention again.
Just wondering how bad can it get with screen retention

I know of one other person that had it on a replaced display..... Makes me think that something unique to that phone is causing it.

Please forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is "screen retention"? Are you talking about dead pixels or burns into the display?

A couple of days ago I saw it in the notification bar top left corner. As a former LGG4 user i know how it will progress.
It's courious it showed up so early (3 or 4 months)...
Does asking for a replacement have any sense? Sooner or later it will appear anyway.

That's not necessarily true about reappearing.

Screen retention is a temporary ghosting of an image on the screen after displaying it for a while. Turning the screen off a while is probably the quickest way to remove the retention. Dead pixels are ones that don't light up at all, and burn in is a permanent image retention.

On my phone, I started noticing it about a month ago and it is getting worse over time in how quickly it happens. It still goes away quickly enough when I turn the screen off. To put it in perspective, I believe pretty much every phone nowadays will be plagued by some problem. As far as that goes, screen retention is rather minor and doesn't impact things too much for me.

Is it the same spot, same image

For me, it's anything, but most often the home dock buttons or the left and right edges of my home screen. But I can even get retention of some of these icons...

When making a long post on here.

That is absolutely crazy. I've had the LG V20 since launch, am a very heavy user, and have never seen anything at all like that on my phone.
At the beginning is not that bad, I just noticed the shadow of the home button and the others as you can see in the picture.
