So I've been having a hit or miss time with Samsung Pay at Walmart lately, so I decided to give Walmart Pay a try and it works really well. There are two extra steps required, but it can use your fingerprint for authentication if you have it set. The really nice thing about Walmart Pay is that it keeps track of your receipts and everything you purchase on your app. The camera part works almost instantly.
It also includes Savings Catcher that will give you money back automatically if it finds a lower price on your items elsewhere. Returns are really easy as well because all the electronic receipts have bar codes on the bottom. Also you never have to worry about losing a paper receipt.
I still use Samsung Pay everywhere else, but specifically for Walmart the Walmart Pay app works really well. I never have to worry about it failing and holding up the line. It sucks to have to use two different pay apps now, but that's life I guess. I also have Android Pay on my phone, ugh!
