The battery life on my Note8 is pretty good, about the same as my S7E. But I would like to make it better. Some days, I really don't use my phone much so I'd like to have Doze ignore motion sensors to wake it up. If I'm walking around, etc, I don't want that to wake it up.
The last time I messed with force doze apps was with my Nexus 6P. Almost a requirement for that phone since it seemed like every new security or software release screwed up at least one apps ability to behave in doze. And they did make a big difference in battery life. But what I noticed using several of the doze apps to force doze was that they'd put it in such deep sleep that alarms, calendar notifications, etc would get delayed, sometimes quite a bit. That never seems to happen with the stock OS, even if the phone has been sitting untouched on a desk for several hours.
Maybe there is no avoiding those issues with a force doze app, but figured I'd ask to see if anyone has discovered an app that does not have those drawbacks.
