Force Keyboard to Landscape when Typing

I've been searching almost since I first go my S3 for a keyboard that automatically goes to landscape when I want to enter txt. I previously had a rumor (I know huge jump) and have always loved the candy bar style QWERTY.

The problem with the standard keyboard is that it takes too long to rotate and sometimes I have to tip it back up or even give it a little shake, that's just too long to wait. Also if it's sitting on a desk it's really hard to get it to rotate back and forth because I love having the chat pane and contacts list in portfolio.

I've struggled with swype and just using my thumb for the last 4 months and I'm tired of it. I tried using the ultimate rotation tool but it will only lock my all of the messenger in landscape. If I set it to lock swiftkey in landscape, only when I go to swiftkey settings does it flip to landscape.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, **** I would be willing to learn how to write my own app for this if I had to. Something as simple as a keyboard rotate button that shows up on my keyboard would be great. But it needs to be one keystroke or I might as well sit and wait for it to rotate to landscape.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I use SwiftKey, and it takes to ~2 seconds from the time I physically rotate the phone from portrait to landscape for the actual screen/keyboard to complete its own rotation. That seems pretty reasonable, so I haven't pursued alternate solutions, although I will note that I have the following items disabled:

There are probably a couple of other items that you could fiddle with if that isn't fast enough. And of course, if you must have the best performance, you could root your phone and install an AOSP ROM.

Thanks for the reply I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Im starting to realize that texting may never be what I want unless I surrender to a bluetooth addon case. ~2 seconds per txt is just too much time at 1-2k texts a month. I deeply miss the solid feel of a tactile keyboard... I just cant imagine my phone being any larger then it already is.

Thanks again and I did adjust my settings as you instructed :)
