Former S6 owners- Sapphire Black vs Onyx Black?

I had a Sapphire Black S6 (and S6 edge +), and recently transitioned to a Onyx Black S7.

I like the Onyx black look, and especially the fact that the home button doesn't have a chrome surround, but I sometimes miss the blue tint on my S6.

I thought it would be fun to see everyone's opinion on this.

What do you all think? Any preference? Should Samsung have kept the Sapphire black color?

I feel like the S7 is more 'dark charcoal grey' instead of onyx black. I thought I'd like it more than I do.

I prefer the sapphire over black. Wish they'd make a true 'ink black' to match the gorgeous deep blacks on the display.

But still love the phone!

I had both and prefer the onyx. Nice stealthy look with black spigen case.

I agree, black doesn't go well with dark blue or sapphire. The onyx one looks much better to me

I agree, I think I like the Onyx better but I also see more of it because I'm comfortable enough to not use a case while the S6 I put in a case immediately for fear of dropping. I do miss the occasional blue highlights that showed in certain lighting.

I like both. What I do like about the Onyx is the lower amount of bling. Less chrome (around the home button and camera compared to the S6E) and the more subtle change in colour, from black to grey.
