Forum changes

Is it just me or are others finding the changes made to the forums making it difficult to use Androidcentral now?

I only follow this forum. I used to be able to see right away what new threads there were or what threads had new messages as they were in bold type.

I realize Androidcentral.com is about a lot more than forums. I used to enjoy my visits here to read about my specific phone but now I find Reddit or XDA much easier to navigate and follow threads.

Unless I'm wrong, the green topic links have new messages, while the white ones do not (in the dark forum theme).

Yes the forums have changed from the old view.
Just like anything it may take awhile to get used to this new view.
But overtime you will get use to it , and get easier for you again.

I use Tapatalk and that feature is still working after update. After update the quote feature isn't working on Tapatalk and all the parts that are read were reset to the beginning of the post instead of where you left off. As stated, Tapatalk needs to update their app to fix this issue. IMO, to fix something that wasn't broken.

By the way, I quoted the first post, but it isn't working in Tapatalk as stated.

I didn't like it neither cause I was so used to the bold and knowing what was new. And I like to click on everything bold and have it all cleared out even if it's a thread I don't need to see that's just how I am. But last night I realized the green and am trying to get used to it. I had a home screen shortcut from the browser before and now I redownloaded the app and I am starting to get used to it now that I noticed about the green last night.

Unfortunately they have no control over ACF app or Tapatalk so they can only submit errors and wait

The new layout in the browser looks like every other forum now.... that's not a bad thing, but it feels like it lost it's personality ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Those are some big shoes to fill, but I've always found it best to follow the doctor's orders so I'll give it a go

I spend most of my time on iMore, which went through "the change" a few weeks ago. It's definitely different, but my feeling is that once you get used to it, it's so much better. Hang in there!
