Forwarding pictures received via text to email

This question may have a simple answer. Is there a way that I can forward a picture that is received via MMS to an email address? I have checked the menu options and I don't see anything that would fit the bill. On my old blackberry there was a "forward as" option which would allow me to forward the MMS as an email.

The only workaround I can think of, which seems a bit cumbersome to me, is to save the picture on my device, navigate to my GMAIL app, create a new message, and then attach the saved picture. It just seems to me like there ought to be an easier way.

Any thoughts ???

Think back to flip phones.

when you get the mms, long press on it, choose forward. in the spot where it says, To:
type in the email address. It may start to type numbers but just continue with the @ signs and all.

Thanks yosteve. I tried that and then pressed forward and began typing in the email. The odd part is the contact list starts filtering down as you type the email, but only phone numbers as it thinks you want to send an MMS. It does allow me to enter the whole address and then send. It would be great if I could send pictures to email without having to type the whole email everytime, but rather select the email from a contact.

But this method seems to work. Thanks for your help. (I attached a screen shot in case of the menu for others just as an FYI.)

Took me awhile but I realized I memorized most email addresses. But for the ones I didn't it's not easy to get the address. Wow that's an oversight.

I would do this, like how you said, save the pic. But instead open the gallery, find the pic and click share then choose gmail. Opening up an email then attaching it would take more steps.

It sucks because sometimes I email others but mms others in the same fwd picture.

But really when you view the mms pic you should be able to share there, it only says you can set as wallpaper out save image.
