Forwarding Text Messages

I just got a new LG Optimus S. So far I love it, but their are a couple things I can not figure out. I hate the "send this text to 10 friends and see what happens" kind of messages, but their are some messages or pictures I would like to forward. I have read through the manual and do not see anything about forwarding a text. Does anyone know how to forward a text on the LG Optimus S?
The other thing I can not figure out is my name. When my screen is locked it says, "This phone belongs to:" I have gone through the settings and I can not figure out how or where to put my name. I know, not a big deal but I would like to know if anyone has the information.

Long press a message and choose forward.

Thank you, didn't think of that. I keep forgetting about the long press function. Do you know how to put my name in as the owner of my phone?

Thanks for your response...I was about to trade this phone in, simply because I could not forward a text

Jessica, do you have AVG virus scanner installed?

If so, you can set it up from the AVG menu/remote option.
