Fossil Q Explorist

My Fossil Q Explorist received a software update yesterday. Looks like it is just the monthly security patch. For those with the earlier generation Fossil watches, does anyone know what Fossil's track record is with releasing the security updates? At this point I'm encouraged seeing an update issued only three weeks after the watch showed up in retail stores.

I received fairly regular updates on my Q Marshal that I bought in March of this year.
I think they are fairly on top of this game.
