I was on my computer at lunch looking at houses to buy and went to Google Maps (using Chrome) to see where a house was. Then a few minutes later I got a text message (not related) so I swiped down my notification bar and to my surprise there was a notification with that address and how long it would take to get there. Clicking that took me to Google Now with a little map of the route and the option to Navigate to the address.

Stumbled on another one. If you hold the Play/Pause button on your earbuds it opens Google Now

As time goes by Now will start popping up cards like that for places you visit quite often. When I left class last night I had the usual '44 minutes to home' but I also had a new traffic card for a bar that we often visit after class. Along with it was a prompt, like the one that appears when you swipe away a card, asking 'do you care about this place...yes or no'. Of course, I care about the bar so I tapped yes lol

That's cool! Now if it can detect you've been at a bar for awhile and put your phone in Drunk Dial mode that would be fantastic! It could force you to put in an additional code or solve a math problem.

Lol yeah I'd +1 that feature:)

I just read in an interview with Eric Schmid today where he was talking about a feature that he showed off in Japan recently. It's a new Google Maps feature which uses the front-facing camera for eye-tracking to adjust the view and the position of the map.

I was googling and youtubing for this to maybe see a demo, but however failed to get any information on the status of this awesome feature! Any background information on this one? Anybody?

Oh here they are talking about: "shift the view of an area by moving the device in the air"... it seems this feature is already live for the Nexus 7?!

Thanks
Kr Andrew

thats really cool, i think i may try that for fun when i go home.

i love all the small little enhancements i find everyday as i use the phone regularly. another fav feature i recently discovered was that i received a missed call...when i pull the tab down, not only is the missed call there like before but it has the "call back" button right under it, very awesome!!!!
