Had to make a split second decision to jump off a plane to grab another and did so without my Tab S4. 30 seconds later when I realized it they had already closed the door and wouldn't open it.

I'm hoping that the United lost item process is better than their flights.

That's your only hope - contact them. And hope that some unscrupulous passenger didn't grab it - only to find out that, due to FRP, they can't use it.

I just want to order another but I'll kick myself if they find it after I get another so I'm going to wait 2 weeks.

Hmm, I'll watch out for any new threads here that ask, "halp i forgot my password for my tab 4s what can i do?":-\

I assume you've already spoken to United and given them all of the details about the flight you were on and your seat number?

No, no one would be that stupid, would they?

Re: Left my Tab on a plane

Actually, the lady I sat next to on the flight to Boston said she had done the same thing with her ipad, and Ipad's have this thing where they can display a message stating that their lost and give an email. She said she got hers back.

My Tab has my email on the lock screen so hopefully that helps. United contracts out to a company named Chargerback for lost and found items. They text you at 2, 5, 10, 15 and 30 days or something like that with status and retire the case at 30 days.

Good news: Your tab was found.

Bad news: It didn't survive all the shooting.

Good luck with retrieving it. Hopefully they were able to contact the crew on your previous flight and pick it up before any passengers boarded.

Re: Left my Tab on a plane

I just paid $24.95 to have my tab shipped back to me from San Francisco. I am actually shocked that I'm getting it back....hopefully it will arrive undamaged.

I must say I am impressed, found Sunday, mailed Monday, to be here on Wednesday. One more thread update on Wednesday to let you know if it came back undamaged and complete.
