I've been getting horrible battery life on my S6E, and I've done a factory reset (a couple times), wiped the cache, and even exchanged the device once. Nothing seemed to work until last night, when I implemented a bunch of the suggested tweaks but also uninstalled Spotify.

Went to bed last night with the phone fully charged and off the charger, then woke up this morning at 97%, which was unheard of for me for this phone. I listened to a little music on Beats, which is where the battery graph dipped at around 5 am, then it leveled off again. So I decided to tempt fate and reinstall Spotify, which is where everything went downhill, at around 6:20 am today (see the graph below).

I've since uninstalled Spotify again, hoping to see the chart level off, but I'm down to 25% with only 44 min. of screen time (set on auto).

I'm running the 5.1.1 update from T-Mobile.

Does anyone else see similar issues with Spotify? Is there something else I'm missing? Do I need to switch to another music service?

I use spotify very frequently (every morning at the gym, for around 60-90 min ) , but Im a paid user. I primarily use it in "offline mode" which, is a paid feature of the app that lets you cache music and play without a network connection, and downloads playlists when connected to wifi. I do not see the same issues with battery life on the unit that you are experiencing that would point to spotify, but that being said, I do see an unusually large amount of issues with the android system and for some reason rather recently, Facebook being a large drain on the battery. Perhaps this has something to do with network use being the battery drain as opposed to the specific app use?

Maybe it's network usage, but I have FB and FB messenger on my phone. With only Spotify removed, I got great battery life today. I've taken it off again and just charged to 100%, so we'll see how it goes this afternoon.

I always had issues with Spotify so I haven't installed it again. I don't notice any battery drain issues with Pandora though.

So I've been off the charger (without Spotify installed) for a bit now. Already at half the screen time I had above, but battery still at 87%. Unbelievable that Spotify was doing so much battery damage. Are we the only ones?
