Foxfi wifi tether channel 6

I can't seem to get the wifi channel to permanently save itself to any other channel. I can start Foxfi, then go into settings and adjust the channel manually in Mobile Hotspot Settings, save the new channel, it restarts the hotspot and all works well but the next time I start Foxfi the channel is back at 6. Channel 6 is the default channel for many routers and most people don't bother to change it, so my home is bombarded by traffic on this channel. Manually changing it each time is not that big a deal, if inconvenient - wanted to know if anyone else had this issue and fixed it? Thanks.

Seriously considering rooting, but until now Verizon's control over my phone never really pissed me off enough to risk screwing up my phone since I'm a nub.

Took the plunge, now rooted and db file edited so I get one touch hotspot activation. Now it also saves my channel, so all is good. Thanks for the tip.
