FPS - System vs. apps

I said it once and I'll say it again. I have no issues at all with the FPS on this phone.. it opens up quick for me.. and I agree, I have a few apps that it opens even faster when trying to get into it..

My experience is the same as yours. I have no issues with the FPS on my Pixel 6 Pro.

I got my P6Pro in late November after the first wave was delivered and I was dismayed by some of the experiences some of the members were reporting. I unboxed my phone with much trepidation and was expecting the worst. I was more than pleasantly surprised with how well it worked.

I have decided to forgo finger print access to certain apps feeling that a password or pin might be safer in the event the phone and/or I are breached. I really don't care if Starbucks app is breached so my finger print is fine. But I would rather not have my bank easily accessed with my finger print and the same with the Password Manager - That way I will have to be tortured in order to get to my bank but not Starbucks! :D

FPS in the OS is absolute ****. To the point as to be non functional. But works flawlessly in any app that requires it.

As someone else noted, Google could fix it.....or maybe they need to bring in a coder that does Android apps to show them how to make their **** work

I knew fingerprint sensor technology was going be a hit or miss for some , I have fingerprint reader to log into my inspection machine at work every time I do a vehicle inspection mine no issues but my father's lol hard time . My prints are surprisingly good for type of work I do and no issues on my Samsung, pixels, One plus devices. I do prefer face id like iPhone, pixel 4xl,Samsung iris scanner
I have a feeling your line of work improves the FPS recognition
