Free apps vs paid which you use

Yes. I've used it to buy music, books, rent movies, etc. I don't believe you can apply it towards hardware, though. Only apps and those other things I mentioned. I've used it for in-app purchases, too.

A few years ago, before the first pixel you could. I think people were using the credit to buy Nexus phones. Now Google store for hardware is not under Play store so you can't by any hardware. Yeah I used mine all the time to rent movies. I found that once I hit over $20 credit, the survey coming in slowed down. As soon as I use some... they start coming in 1 or 2 a day. So I try not to have my balance over $20. There are certain places that if you go there (with location on), they will pretty much always send you a survey. Most of the chain hotels, bed bath and beyond, hardware stores like home depot or lowes, t-mobile stores, department stores like Nordstrom, etc... You don't even have to go inside... just near them. They will send you a survey. You could answer NO I didn't go there and you get $0.10. If you actually go, you get about $0.20 to $0.35. Hotel reviews are always $1.00. I usually just type in "Room is great, had a great stay..." done.. $1.00 credit LOL.

So this is where all the fake reviews come from when looking at hotels 😁🤣🤣

I've never noticed a slow down based on amount accumulated. I did notice an increase in award amounts and frequency in resort areas especially around casinos and the longer the survey the higher the amount.

I see your concern and believe me I'm with you but this tracking looks like everyone and thing will keep doing and probably going get worst before better . So dont sweat it so much unless its really personal information you have to protect like banking to that degree.

It doesn't mean I have to accept it. I refuse to.

I'll always buy a paid version if it's a good app. Unfortunately there are very few good new apps out there now, but that's a whole other story.

I use mostly Google apps, which serve me well. The only non-Google app i use that has a Google alternative is Signal.

if it's an app that I plan to use extensively and really need the features I pay for them. I hate ads and I figure if I like an app that much a few bucks to have all it offers with no ads is worth it

Most of my apps I use personally are free, with the exception of one or two premium apps I cant live without.
All the games that I develop on android are also free. We show in-game ads, with the option for players to purchase resources with an added no ads experience. It`s always nice to have choices :)

I have only 77 apps on my phone and a few were paid for. Usually, the apps cost around $2 and I consider that like a tip for lunch. It's an incentive for the developer to continue his efforts. I have two dictionaries that are important to me and those cost about $10 each and, for me, are well worth the price. I sure paid more than that for hardback dictionaries that were inconvenient.
