Free gifts

It could possibly happen. I doubt we will know until they announce an official release date.

During the announcement, they said preorders would come with a set of B&H ear buds, but that's all I've heard so far. My guess is that anything else would either come as cash equivalent discounts/gift cards, or maybe a micro SD card, depending on carrier and location.

I'm on Verizon and hoping they are still offering the usual $300 trade in (at least that includes the G4). They also just started up another $100 off promo code. If it's anything like when I got the G4, I could end up making money off the purchase. Lol.

Yea the v10 I got the battery kit and a 200gb sd card. I got my s7 edge bogo for me and my brother, and we each got a gear vr and a $120 Netflix credit. I really, really like that these manufacturers are competing on pre order bonuses now lol

Headphones and a battery/cradle would be sweet.

I have no interest in headphones - most people already have a nice pair if you are an audio person, which is the target market for this phone.

I'm hoping for a spare battery, since the onboard is too small. I would even be happy with an extra rapid charger.

I don't know where I heard it from but I THINK I heard that you'll get a choice of the extra battery or sd card, a free year of Hulu basic service (not the commercial free/more expensive service) and some other deal on a VR headset.

Now please don't quote me and hold my word as gospel. I heard it from one of the many many many reviews that came out during the V20 launch event earlier this month.

If its the current VR headset it sucks

It is just a bug few are getting. I am using a 5X right now -- been on 7.0 since I have used it (since 9/10) and it hasn't rebooted on me once.

Good to know. I'll keep my eye on the V20 then..........:D

I hate its getting bundled in with boot loops. Even an article here on AC refers to 5X boot loops when even the Google article being referenced Clearly states random boots. Random boots although bothersome are not as bad. I think all of my Moto phones suffered from random boots either after an update, installing a bad app or after being short on memory. Google is claiming some sort of weakness in the hardware that Nougat doesn't like. Maybe they can fix it with an update. If not, it doesn't seem to be affecting all phones and hopefully will be resolved.

Is that the same VR device that launched around spring of this year where the phone is attached by a cable and not clamped into the eye piece? I'm not big on VR and don't see myself ever getting into it. So I couldn't care less if it is included or not.
