Question App to screen

How do I get my app from setting > apps to my home screen? My hearing aid app was on my home screen. I downloaded the latest version, and it is only in Settings > Apps, and it is rather inconvenient since I use it daily+. So how do I migrate it (or whatever the right term is) to my home screen? Thanks

Default out the box it's buttons not gestures

Swipe up only shows currently running apps. Finally found complex and difficult process mostly involving Settings. Finally I have an icon at bottom of home screen for app drawer. Thanks you to all who responded.
