Free Mini replace your Echo/Alexa

The Alexa, while having no context of my calendar, can make calls, run my fire TV's, .

Just so you know you can easily access your Google calendars with Alexa...I set mine up from day one to use a family calendar...I enter things voice or phone, my daughter on iOS uses the web page.

My wife can hardly remember what day it is, so it's really useful for her to ask Alexa "What's happening today's"

I bought the Echo on UK release day. We put her in the living room and she was fun but very gimmicky and barely got used except for turning on the living room lamp. My partner would often switch her off in the wall and I wouldn't realise for a few days.

I then bought a Home and it gets used over and over every day, by me, my partner and our daughter. GA understands what we're saying better than Alexa (especially the 8 year old) and has answers to way more questions. With Alexa we always felt that you had to say the exact right phrase to get what you wanted. So Alexa moved to the kitchen, where she does a good job of playing music when we're cooking. Home got the coveted living room space, a mini came to the bedroom, another to the second bedroom and when my free Mini comes it will go into my office shed.
