I've just downgraded my Note2 locked to Rogers 4.1.2. to 4.1.1.
and I believe I've done every steps that need to unlock my phone for free.

However, there is no way I can check if it's unlocked since I have no other sim card from other carrier.
I've wiped all data by doing downgrade. I am restoring my back up data from 4.1.2. on my current 4.1.1.

I heard that unlocked condition will stay as same even I upgrade back to 4.1.2. is it true?

Please, I need a help here
Thank you

This is for Samsung Galaxy S3 not Note 2, might want to post in the correct area

There are easy to follow instructions on how to unlock the S3 as well as the Note2 for free around, I have followed the instructions and have tried it with a Rogers SIM card on my Telus S3 and it works fine.

*****Complete these steps at your own risk******

Just dial the following keys *#197328640#

Main Menu > [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3]Perso SHA256 OFF > (after choosing this option, wait about 30 seconds, then go back one step by pressing the Menu button then select Back, now you are in [6] Network Lock then choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ ..... wait for a minute then reboot your phone

You can also find the instructions on XDA.
