Unwanted Notifications

On my Galaxy A15. All of a sudden when a notification comes on the first screen sees various news, sports, etc screen boxes to see if I am interested. I don't know what this is and I can't get rid of it. It is unable to make a screen shot of it. Very ANNOYING!! I thought it might be Google trying some garbage like that but it isn't Google. I checked all my apps and did not see anything I didn't know about. Anybody know about this junk?

If this is showing when you're on your homescreen and you swipe right (leftmost screen), then that's either the Google Discover feed or Samsung News. You can customize/disable that on the Homescreen Settings (tap and hold an empty spot on a home screen and select Settings; customize the 'Add media page to Home screen' option).

If it's happening when you tap a specific notification and shows this instead of the intended app, then that's either a malicious app or a DNS ad injector (check your Network settings and make sure they haven't changed to an unknown DNS). If it's an app, you should be able to test this in Safe Mode and see if, when you get a notification there, the behavior changes in that mode.

Found out it was MetroPlay. Never heard of it before and got rid of it.

It may be a carrier app (if you're with Metro/T-Mobile). But glad you found the culprit and were able to disable it.
