Fried SD card?

So today I rooted my phone, and everything was working perfectly. Then, after a few hours, neither my phone nor my computer recognize the SD card. Is there any way to recover the data/ fix the SD card? It was an 8gb PNY micro sdhc SD card.

CASUAL on a Mac, and the stock ROM.

If you have a PC you can put the card in and run chkdsk /F /X drive letter:

If you only have a Mac there is an equivalent but I don't know off hand what it is.
