Has anyone switched from a 10 inch tablet to the Nexus 7? And how have you adjusted to the smaller screen - do you think it's better, just different, or do you miss your big screen?

My Tab 10.1 is feeling old and I'm debating getting the Nexus 7, waiting for a possible Nexus 10 inch or Galaxy note 10.1( I draw). Thoughts?

Bought the Xoom on launch and loved it. I did find it heavy and large son I didn't take it out much. Now I have the nexus7 and its so much better size and weight wise. I don't put it down much. Wish I would have saved the $800 on the Xoom and got a few of these.

Sold my iPad 2 for the Nexus 7. I've only had the device since yesterday and there's definitely an adjustment. I will likely miss larger videos, web browsing, and even email management. That said, the smaller size feels better in the hand and doesn't leave my side. I'm sure it will travel with me much more frequently than the iPad ever did. And of course, some things, like reading a book and even typing feel better on the smaller device. I've adjusted quickly and am rapidly falling in love with the N7!

I still have my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 and trying to adjust to the 7" Nexus. Happy with the Nexus Tab but not the size. It was easier surfing the web on the Samsung. Never any need to pinch and zoom. Although the 7" Tab is easier to carry. Movies also look better on a large screen.
The Samsung has more vibrant colors, IMO, and, if it ever gets ICS, will probably be smoother.

Wish I would have saved the $800 on the Xoom and got a few of these.

Wish I could have had some precognition, seen the WiFi version was coming out or that Asus really was releasing their tablet within a few months....but I digress.

The more I use the smaller tablet, is the more I enjoy the smaller form factor. It is sooooo much easier to type on. I love it so much that I have yet to install another keyboard that I had previously bought. I love this thing. The only thing I miss is the bigger screen for TV and the HDMI port, but the pros definitely makeup for it.

Also the games are much better on the smaller touch screen, like shadow gun and temple run.

Went from an OG iPad to this and couldn't be happier. I didn't like how heavy 10" are, and its so much better to read books on this thing. Web browsing is good too. Games are better cause of easier and lighter mobility and typing isn't a drag. 7" is truly the PERFECT size for me at least.

Really hope Google does a Nexus 10. I would buy one in a heartbeat.

A 10 in android tablet is just too awkward when using it in portrait mode. But some some reason, even though the screen aspect is the same, the 7 incher doesn't feel awkward at all in portrait mode.

Myself... I prefer the iPad's 4:3ish aspect ratio on a bigger tablet.

Came from a transformer prime and an Ipad2. Dont think i'll be going back to the prime. (ipad went to wife)

I have a Xoom and used it on a pretty consistent basis, however, my wife got an original Galaxy Tab 7 inch tablet. I thought the GTab had some definite flaws but the 7 inch form factor wasn't one of them. After playing with the GTab for awhile I swore that my next tablet would be a seven inch model. I couldn't be happier with the Nexus 7's size.

I have and still use my Asus TF-101 with dock all the time for work, email, and web surfing. The Nexus7 is my gamer/more portable tablet.

Thanks for the responses :). Sounds like almost everyone who had a 10 incher is happy with the N7.

Came from a HP Touchpad, I do miss the 10 in size for web browsing.
The MLB At Bat app gets squeezed on the Nexus 7, I hope MLB can do something.

I have a Xoom and iPad 3 and both feel like overkill compared to the Nexus 7. The iPad's screen and resolution are awesome, but it now feels somehow like it's too much, way more than you need for a tablet. I'm not one to ever say that I don't need less features, but the Nexus 7 has all you need in terms of a great screen, size, speed, and versatility. Whatever I'm "giving up" by using a Nexus 7 instead of the other bigger tablets, I don't miss it.

I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1. I'm definitely enjoying the portability of the N7 much better and I'm finding myself using it a lot more around the house. Now picking up the Tab, I've come to realize how big and clunky it felt to me. Not as comfortable as the 7 inch size. It has its uses for screen real estate but not enough for me to go back to it full time.
