Samsung Epic 4G Touch Review - BriefMobile

"The Samsung Epic 4G Touch by Sprint is hands down the best phone I’ve ever used. For the price of $199.99 with a two-year agreement, this phone is well worth its price tag. The thinnest, lightest, and largest 4G device out in America, and it is coming exclusively to Sprint. The Exynos processor is arguably the fastest and most power-efficient solution to date, and the Super AMOLED Plus display by far is highest class screen money can buy.

The Epic 4G Touch is nearly too good to be true. All of this in one package. No previous device has ever made me feel like all of my past devices are worthless. The powerhouse of features, the usability of TouchWiz 4.0, and the high quality camera make me completely forget I ever had the Epic 4G, EVO 3D, Photon 4G, and Nexus S 4G."

Looking forward to tomorrow. My 54 year old eyes are gonna love this screen and the ability to actually work on it sans laptop in the car :)

Great review straight from an Android enthusiast. He does confirm that the phone doesn't appear to have a noise cancellation mic which is disappointing. From other reviews I've read it doesn't seem to need one, but for a feature packed device, this seems like a strange thing to leave out.

Maybe it went down like this ...

Ok guys ... heads it's a notification LED, tails it's a noice cancellation mic.

*FLIPS*

Heads it is!

;)

I, for one, am really glad that there is a notification light and really couldn't care less about the noise cancellation mic. I was surprised that there is a notification light since the original GSII does not have one, and the lack of one would have been one of the only negatives for me about the Epic 4G Touch.

I agree. I'll take a notification LED over noise cancellation any day. Still, I'd rather have both. :)
