Hey well in July I get my upgrade. I been a Blackberry lover for the past years Currently using the Storm 2.

Buttt.... Im wanting to get a Android phone (verizon) Trying to decide is i should go with the Incredible or Droid X.

Which would be the better choice of the two.

Also what are the Apps like compared to Blackberry?

Thanks.

I'm a huge HTC fan, but the Droid X is definitely the better phone of the two. A distinctly more feature-rich camera, Wireless N support, a lot more memory from the start, HDMI and a bigger battery are some things worth mentioning.

I really don't know much about the BlackBerry apps supply. Android has a lot of apps though, some immensely useful and some much less so. Android is currently somewhat limited in that apps may not directly make use of hardware to improve performance - for example there is currently no accelerated video playback. I've found many high-quality apps that are really useful in day-to-day use though, so I'm quite happy with what's on offer at the moment. I'm waiting for Skype and Opera to release their real stuff for Android, which'll likely happen within a few months.

If you're a gamer, there's heaps of fun games and some really visually impressive 3D stuff like Raging Thunder, ExZeus and Crusade of Destiny. Android's still pretty young, so I think "real" games developers will probably set their eyes upon the platform sometime in the future. :)

I came from a BB Storm 1 and the there is a MUCH better selection of apps for Android than BB. I would definitely same go with a Moto Droid. You won't be disappointed as long as you give it about 2 weeks to actually learn the differences between BB and Android. A lot of people that come from BB don't want to give it up and use that as an excuse for not liking Android.

Welcome aboard... some like Motorola, and
others like HTC more. Either way, you'll
have an excellent device.

I'm bias to HTC... I <3 them.

Incredible if you like smaller phones, Droid X if you like bigger phones. I like Sense tho.

Better is always subjective. It's all about finding what suits you best. Without any info on you or what you're looking for (typical for these threads) it's impossible to give any sort of meaningful recommendation. So, we're stuck with the usual device shopping process:

1. Compare the features and specs, consider what you need/want, of course.
2. Try the devices in person to assess characteristics that can only be evaluated this way: size, weight, keyboard, "build quality", etc.

If you have some more specific questions, ask away!

The Android app store is second to Apple's in sheer number of apps. Granted, that doesn't mean squat about the number of quality apps but the odds do increase with the popularity of the app store.

Personally, I've found Android to be far more extensible with its apps than the BB.

That said,I have yet to find anything is completely equivalent to profiles on the BB. The Android profiles come fairly close and add some functionality but there's really no good centralized management of all alerts (audio, vibrate & LED).

See for yourself. You can browse via AppBrain and Androlib.
