From G3 to G6

So, I'm looking to upgrade my G3 to a G6. I enjoy my G3 but it has some faults, and I'm wondering if they were addressed in any of the subsequent models.

Probably the biggest, to me, is bootlooping. I'm on my 3rd battery with the G3, as that seems to at least temporarily help. But if this hasn't been fixed I wouldn't want to bother with a G6, especially from what I've heard about not being able to replace its battery

Headphone jack. I've often had connection issues with G3. It used to be that it wouldn't properly recognize what was being plugged in. I used to use a tape adapter in my car, but the G3 would think it was a headset, and bring up a voice command program or something, which would interrupt my music. And sometimes the spotty connection would cause the song to skip to another. Right now, it's also sometimes causing sound to play in only one ear on my headphones, which doesn't occur when my headphones are plugged into other devices.

Double tapping screen to activate. I love this feature, but on G3 it can be inconsistent. Sometimes it works as intended, but sometimes, I'll have put my phone in my pocket, and the screen manages to activate in my pocket, recording video from my pocket (side note, videos can turn out kinda cool, but anyway), or it's somehow brought up the text app with a bunch of gibberish in the message field. Or conversely, double tapping sometimes does nothing. I feel like it'd be impossible to perfect, but I hope that it's improved since G3

Last thing I can think of is the keyboard. Either my thumbs are too big or the keys are too small, lol. A pretty minor thing, but this at least, is something I can find out for myself with a store model.

Any G6 users have any insight on whether the problems above are/have been present in G6's? I am encouraged that I haven't seen any topics about these problems in a brief look

Hello!

The G6's double tap to unlock, battery and headphone jack are things that have gone well so far. Haven't heard any issues with bootlooping or with software features/headphone jack issues.

Also, LG is giving out a two-year warranty on the G6; so even if you do encounter an issue, the warranty is there for you!

Also, I've had the G3 and loved it, and have done quite a bit of research on the G6. I think it's kept some features of the G3 and have made them even better. Also, it has an AOD now instead of an LED notification light; so that is really the only thing that I'd say is "missing;" but not really, since AOD is still pretty cool and there are workaround apps that can still give you a "sort-of LED experience."

It's a great phone, for sure! Do not worry! :)

I switched from G3 to G6.. G6 has great battery life i had 5-7h of SoT sometimes 8h.. While on G3 it was never above 4h.

G6 isn't overheating like G3 was...
I haven't heared about problems with headphone jack on G6 and i haven't had any issues with it on G3 aswell..

Double tap ti wake on G6 works great but i use it only to lock the phone. For unlock finger print. You know you can adjust the keyboard ?

And with last update the phone smoothness is flawless... And p.s. guys like you srsly never had 2 yrs warranty on any phones ? Like here on Europe we always had 2-3 yrs warranty only iphone always had 1 year. And in last two years more, and more stores and providers even offer 2 yrs warranty on broken screen. I mean you can use that feature only once but again.

In Canada, two-year warranties placed by manufacturers are pretty big, IMO. Some outlets like Best Buy may offer them, and so do carriers if you want to pay an insurance on the phone; but for LG and Google to give warranties... It's a big deal. :)

Thats just totally unfair but maybe thats the reason why are the phones even cheaper in USA/CA and rest of the world. But still wtf like 1 the phones usually go dead after the 1st month or during 1st year. Thats called smart warranty. Greedy bastards.

Back ti the prices like the iPhone X just came to my country and starting price when i would convert it to $ would be about 1400-1500$ i mean wtf its a freakin phone.

Like check that crap, 9036 cro kunas... 1$ US ofc is 6,5 Cro kunas and u get 1400$ at cheapest, and at providers is even more expensive.. Bulls*it.
