From iPhone 4s to GS3, text issues

Good night everybody im new to the forum and my s3. Its the internarional version (which im sure you all know..) and text messages to iphones are hit or miss for me. AT&T claims its because I had an iphone and the service is interpriting my texts as imessages. Any other texts sends fine except to iphones. Ang info on this would be appreciated. Id like to add that intermittent and ive already disabled imessage with att.

Welcome to the forums.
Are some of the people you are texting still using iPhones? Their messages will probably be sent as iMessage.

Yes they are I believe.

That may be why you aren't getting them. They can turn off iMessage to be sent as regular SMS.

They can do that for just me or will they have to turn the function off completely. ?

Oh ok. That's strange because when I had an iphone I didng have a problem texting androids. . Thank you.!

That was always my impression of it. I also never had an Apple device either.

Have you logged into your iMessage account and turned it off. I read somewhere that one user went from iPhone to Android and until he turned it off he was having problems with messaging his friends with iPhones.
