I was wondering if there is anybody that has gone from the razr to the rezound? What do you like better about the rezound and what do you miss about the razr? I'm thinking of switching but I would like to hear the opinions of someone who has already. Thanks

What is making you consider trading in your Razr for the Rezound?

Locked bootloaders and no removable battery are the main reasons. I had an evo before this and loved all the support and my extended battery. The one thing I would miss from the razr is the HDMI port.

well i tried the rezound for a few days . the camera is the noticible improvement over the razr . to me screen was better on the rezound but not enough to make a difference . over all the rezound was to buggy for me to use for my main business phone . so i ended up with the razr maxx .

What were the bugs?

Not sure about anyone else but I haven't found any bugs to date with my Rezound. The one thing I noticed with last update I don't get download speeds as fast as before in some areas I could get 50 mb and now same areas around 20 mb Verizon claims the update didn't do that but I beg to differ. It's a solid phone for my use.

I have both, well, my wife uses the Razr, so I should be able to answer most of your questions.
My quick 2 cents

Rezound - better screen
dev support
Hand "feel"

Razr - Thinner
Motoblur is more stock feeling
Moto Apps seem pretty handy (sync, etc)

My vote is Rezound, especially if you want to root. Just head over to XDA and see what just went on this weekend, pretty sweet and amazing considering the time.

The Rezound has HDMI out through the micro-USB port. It is becoming the standard and will soon replace micro-HDMI. You just need a MHL adapter for micro-USB to HDMI.

I'm curious as to what you found buggy?

Personally, my Rezound runs more smoothly than any other phone I've had (even more so than my old iPhone). In terms of OS stability, I would rank my phones in this order:

1. HTC Rezound
2. iPhone 3Gs
3. Samsung Fascinate
4. Droid2
5. Blackberry Storm

I didn't realize that. Thank you for that info. This was a big reason why I was on the fence.

I was one of those people that showed up at my nearby VZW store on 11/11/11 to get my Razr and I absolutely loved it...for a little while. The more I lived with that phone the more its idiosyncrasies started to show through.

What I like better about the Rezound is:

  1. Hand feel
  2. Bluetooth performance (read: consistency when connecting)
  3. Headphone jack performance & overall volume (I had three Razrs b/c the first two had bad headphone jacks)
  4. Radio performance for both phones is impressive (when compared to the GNex or Droid Charge) but the Rezound has been more stable "feeling" than my Razr. I can't quantify this, it's just a feel thing for me.
  5. Performance of the phone while docked. My Razr was always launching stuff that I didn't want/need with no way to disable that
  6. While both phones have "skinned" operating systems, I find that I prefer Sense 3.5 over Moto's not-Blur

What do I miss about the Razr?

  1. Blowing people's minds with its form-factor.

In short, they're both great phones and, for me at least, it just boiled down to how the darn thing felt when I typed on it. The Razr proved to be too wide for me to use comfortably while the Rezound just "fits" me better. Mind you, I had a GNex between the Razr and Rezound and that's a whole 'nother story entirely!

Of course these are only my opinions and experiences and, as always, ymmv.

Best of luck!

well as far as bugs with the rezound 1 was the notification light wouldnt work consistantly 2 no youtube video on 4g no matter what verizon and htc tech support tried .3 sometimes would not connect back to 4g after traveling into 3g without power cycling the phone . 4 never could get it to stay connected to my car radio i would have to re pair everytime i reentered the vehicle . although my razr has it on set of issues it dont have these issues .
