From S21 Ultra to Z Fold 3?

Hi friends!
I am considering to upgrade my S21 Ultra to Z Fold 3 and I have read in the forum all pros and cons of the Z Fold.
My main concern is the battery life!
Can somebody who has done same upgrade can inform me about the difference in the battery life between that 2 phones?

If you're concerned about battery life the fold 3 isn't for you. Battery life is not good on the fold 3. I can't tell you the difference between it and the S21, but the S22U there is is a huge difference between it and the fold 3. Also, if camera is important to you then the fold 3 camera is not as good either.

Other then that I prefer the fold 3. It won't disappoint you unless the above 2 are important to a person. Screen protectors need replaced on the fold 3, but that's simple fix.

Thank you, very helpful, I am really sensitive with the battery life because I am a frequent traveler and I don't have always the possibility to re charge it within the day.

Yes, I switched from Fold 3 to 22 Ultra. Battery life is way better on the Ultra.

Stay with S21 for now until ZF4.

Thank you, I think so, although I am doubtful that the battery will be improved on the ZF4, according to leaks seems that will carry the same size of battery with the ZF3

With every generation getting more and more efficient (hardware and software), this may not be a call you should make based on this alone. I would wait and see what shakes out with those that get to do early reviews and whatnot to see how it really impacts things overall.

With the CPU/GPU efficiencies with the new processor and a new gen of the inner screen, that alone might push the efficiency up enough to make this battery choice even better than the Fold 2 over the Fold 2.

Just keep an open mind is all.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Fold⁴'s SnapDragon 8 Gen 2 (the likely chipset) will be notably more battery efficient (5nm-->4nm with other enhancements over SD 8 Gen 1 (S22 Ultra, etc.)) then the SnapDragon 888 so that should mean better battery life as long as they don't shrink the battery size (like they did in the S21-->S22 (to save money?)).

A few more months should tell us.

Im not a heavy user and everyone battery stats are going be different, i use it for YouTube,Hbo max,espn ,etc streaming media and some calls and texts i can go a day with battery, i also keep the 85 charging on this and sometimes battery save mode as i know i can be awhile without using and yes don't be shamed to use battery save mode its there for a reason regardless it lower some settings down, it wont be a beast like s21u,s22u but you definitely can get through the day and i havnt even tested to let it go full 100%
