from Storm 2(9550) to BIONIC

I can't believe the number of former BB users that have become so disenchanted with RIM, are tired of waiting for their technolgy to catchup, and jumping ship to Android. Makes me sad in a way - I was a diehard BB fan, but there is just no way for me to defend them any longer. I setup and used my neighbor's iPhone quite a bit and I was really not impressed that much with it; which makes it easier for me to switch to the Android O/S. I am VERY comfortable with BB OS 5 and I can do it in my sleep; yes, I know it's antiquated, but even the "smooth" iPhone O/S felt akward after all of my BB years. I am looking forward to learning the Android 2.3.4 and so far from what I've seen on the videos of the D3, I am an anxious student ready to finally breakaway from BB and learn a new way of doing things...now if that darn Bionic would only come out!

I honestly can't wait to jump ship to Android. I can't wait for the experience I'm going to have. RIM and BB are just old news to me!

My storm 2 has been nothing more than a glorified texting phone that can recieve emails. If I install any apps or anything on the phone other than the twitter app and facebook app the phone starts to die by locking up all the time and rebooting over and over. I HATE THIS PHONE!

In the nearly 18 months since I purchased the BB Storm 2, I have gone from absolutely loving this phone to not being able to wait to throw it into the nearest lake or highway. BB and their "Super Apps" are so behind the times and the simple fact that they couldn't keep a device that was released 8 months earlier with their new OS was simply the last straw for me. I suppose it will always have a special place for me as it was my first smart phone and for the most part kept me up to date with all the things I wanted it to keep me up to date with, but I just cannot wait to get rid of this phone and finally get an Android for myself.

Count me in too! I was up for a new phone in January, when the announced the Bionic. I have been patiently waiting with my Storm v1 since then. SAVE ME MOTOROLA!

I'm in the same boat, all my friends have either an Android or iPhone and they are blazing fast compared to the Storm 2. I just wish the Bionic can keep up with how fast I type, the Storm 2 I have can't keep pace and freezes for a few seconds when I stop for it to display what I just typed :'(.

Gonna be using my last NE2 early on the Bionic if I can convince Verizon to push it up a few months from December. I really don't feel like begging over the phone :-X.
