from time to time press home button (circle) does not take action

Hi there,
I am facing this issue (Android 9) - sometimes I must press home button (on the screen) twice to take action. 99% of day it works ok with one press but from time to time I need to press it again to take action.

Any ideas what can be wrong? (P.S. touch screen is working correctly because it shows me red/green/blue/yellow dots around home circle every time. Just it seems that action is not executed from time to time)

Hi there, I am an OP. I have Honor 8X phone. With Android 8 everything workes flawlessly but when I upgraded to 9.0 this behaviour started.

This is for the S8. Google the instructions for your device.

To change home button sensitivity, go to Settings followed by Display. Under Display, tap on Navigation Bar and scroll down to “Home button sensitivity”. Keep it at “most sensitive”.

Yes, I think my phone does not have this feature. I have just standard (foil) stock protector from manufacturer, the same as I had with android 8. Just after update to android 9 I can see this negative behaviour so I do not think it is because protector.
