So made the jump, two years was long enough, and since no phones have a removable battery the note looked like a good option. I am still having battery anxiety after 2 years of not charging a phone it's rough. I got used to having my phone in bed as my battery charged and just swapping them in the morning. But I'm giving it a chance. Since I have 20 days to decide, what should I know and what should I try?

I was in the same situation when I moved from v20 to s8+, fast wireless charging kinda helps but nothing will be like just swapping the battery and go from 0 to 100% in less than a minute I'll always miss those days :(

I came from G4 and V10 has very similar internals with it, so I assume you should see a very marked improvement in the performance of Note 8 compared to your V10. Also, although the battery cannot be swapped, it should last almost as long as two of your V10 batteries, so you dun miss much.

I dun see how you could go back to V10 after you start using the Note 8, and I'm not sure which other flagships still have removable batt :P

I also came from the V10 to Note 8. My only complaint is I just cant get used to the FPS location. It made so much more sense to have it in the middle like the V10. Other than that I have absolutely no complaints about the Note 8. It's faster and more responsive. So far I haven't missed having to carry an extra battery at all. :)

Anker has a fast charging power bank that'll charge up to 80% by the time you get to work or school. Never look back at old phones. Just make sure you recycle them.

well.. enjoying the screen alot. went to move my old info from my v10 and wow couldn't really dig looking at the v10 screen anymore...

Congrats on making the jump, so did I. The Note 8 should do well for you. And yeah, it's gonna take a bit to get used to not having the second battery.

I came from the LG family for 2 years. First had the LG G4 then the V10 then the v20. I realize no one else is making phones with swappable batteries. until I got the Note 8 I didn't realize how wide the LG phones were I find this phone very comfortable to hold and get work done. The screen is incredible and as of yet have no issues with the battery. fast charging is just that really fast. overall I am pleased that I went to the Note. I almost forgot the S pen has made this phone a workhorse

Same here, V10 to Note 8. I love the Note 8 but I do like the fingerprint and button layout of the V10 better. Having buttons on the side makes it more difficult to use grip phone holders because of the Bixby and power buttons. The Note is beast though!

After experiencing all the V20 had to offer I opted for the Samsung Note 8. I found a good quality zoom lens camera more useful than the wide angle thing. I figured since LG decided to drop all of the features that made their phones stand out from the rest (removeable battery, IR blaster, etc) and be more Samsung-like, might as well cut out the middle man and get a Samsung device. You won't regret making the move. The cameras on the Note 8 are incredible and the 835 processor is so much faster than the LG V10's. It will take your Android experience to whole new level.

who needs a second battery? I, or any of the other 6 folks in the family who have the note 8, have yet to run out of battery during the day. We just charge them each night.

Many people needs a second battery, sometimes I need to carry a power bank if I won't be around a charger that day because otherwise I would run out of battery at 3 PM.

I charge during the day using wireless charger almost always but in total I use in average 160% of battery daily

Battery should be fine. Snapdragon 835 is very efficient, will beat the V10 battery performance by a hundred miles. Fast charging is good enough to give you a fast charge, but Samsung phones only allow QC 2.0.

I agree with everything you said. Really missing the location of the fingerprint scanner from the V10 but this screen is just incredible! A beast indeed.

Agreed...so far. I unplug my phone from the charger around 6:30AM when I get up. Last night when I got around to plugging it in it was around 9PM and still had 35%. Quite impressed.

I am also a heavy power user.. I make it to 20 percent by 2 pm and top off with power pack to make it home. It does charge quick but I miss the swiftness of changing batteries and being on my way.. but I will adjust.. the screen is amazing
