From Verizon ROM to International version

What would happen if I replaced my M8 verizon ROM to the one on the international versions?
I'm unable to update the current ROM possibly because I dont use CDMA. Download is still unsuccessful even when a simcard is not inserted.

A total guess at this point... but unless both the Verizon device and the international device have the same radios I'd say it will not work and you might brick your phone.

Radios are normally flashed separate from the roms unless something has changed since the galaxy nexus days. However, radio support will be lacking in the rom you flash and would probably cause a boatload of issues. You may not brick your phone but it wouldnt be functional at a useful level either.
