Front facing speaker volume low?

I'm amazed at how much louder my 6P's speakers are compared to my son's htc m8. The m8 has a richer sound but my 6P is definitely louder.

I've noticed this for both the headphone jack and the speakers - on the volume sliders for both they get super-loud towards the higher end of the spectrum. Seems to be an exponential volume slider xD

Headsets don't lie either. I have 3 different wired headsets and loudness varies in each of them. In one headset I have to turn down the volume because it's too loud plugged into my 6P and in another headset the sound is weak at the top volume level.

They could all be different resistance ratings too (ohms). Low resistant headphones will need less power to drive them at high volumes, so you could just have a set that have a low ohm rating.

The Sonys I use at work are 60 ohm and sound OK volume wise with it maxed out. There are sets out there rated at 24 ohm and presumably they would sound louder with the N6P.

I've noticed that the volume on my 6p doesn't get loud until its about 75 percent. Then from 75 to 100 it gets exponentially loud each notch.

I think the speakers on the moto x pure edition are fuller. I'm personally trying to decide between the two devices and it is a damn tough call. I've gone back a forth for 3 days now.

It's a tough decision and I agree with everything you said. I have both right now. I just don't feel that you should have to turn the volume all the why up to 75% or above to hear. And the Moto X sound is richer. With better bass. I just love the display on this 6p!
