So major issues with 2.2 I have had to pull my battery constantly since my phone locks up. I have had to do this multiple times throughout the day and still have to. I am not rooted and I did force the update through the SD card. This didn't happen with 2.1 but with 2.2 is happening all the time. Half the time I cannot get my home screen icons to popup as its just a blank screen. Ever since I did update my phone has been slow as all get out and go. Anyone have any recommendations not liking 2.2 at all.

My droid has been acting up a little with 2.2 also. Memory seems to be up, but the phone feels like it laggs. Hitting the home button brings up just my wallpaper for a couple seconds, then the homescreen appears. Sometimes message notifications don't go away when I open a message, and the music app will randomly launch sometimes, even though I don't even have any music on the phone.

Are you running a task killer? You may be running out of memory, that slows things down a lot, and the droid doesn't have too much.

I got the Froyo 2.2 update this morning, was nice at first, then just dogged really bad. Had lots of problems including hanging every time I went into the gallery. I ended up doing a factory reset and now it seems fine.

The factory reset wasn't too bad as the phone re-installed all my apps for me.

Nope no task killer installed. Uninstalled that a long time ago.

Dotheweb - I have considered it but haven't wanted to do it quite yet.

One thing I did try was re-forcing 2.2 on the phone and it seems to be a little bit better. Time will tell though.

I have done the force update as well today. I have noticed several things on my droid.
1) Doesn't connect to my home WiFi. It is a Linksys N router.
2) None of my "Contact" Shortcuts work anymore. It crashes the "android.process.acore" process. My "Direct Dial" Shortcuts work as normal.

Anyone else see this?

I'm running the Android Agenda Widget on the Sapphire 1.0 Froyo rom. Also used it on FRG22

Android Agenda caused, or greatly contributed to, lots of launcher force closes and screen redraws for me. I removed it and I haven't had a force close since, and only one redraw.

It's possible. Think this sapphire rom is the only one that I haven't experienced redraws on. I'm using the scrollable version with ADW launcher so that could've had something to do with it also.

Wanted to update:
After getting the 2.2 OTA, my phone is pretty much unusable, freezes all the time, music app wont pick up songs off the SD card, have to pull the battery all the time. Brings me back to the Storm Days.

I went to Verizon store and they are sending out a new phone in a couple days. It will have froyo on it too, so i just don't know what to think.

I'm going to uninstall all apps that I don't really use and see if that helps.

I think it's all linked to problems in acore. I was using ADW too, scrollable widgets. Acore would bloat to over 30mb for its RAM footprint. Dumping Android Agenda put a stop to it.
