I wouldn't go around flashing ROMs from other Galaxy S phones, since each device is different in terms of carrier-specific tweaks. The Captivate's software is a definite no-go for us though, since AT&T runs on GSM (while the Fascinate--like all of Verizon's phones--uses CDMA).

namebradon removed my post about this a few days ago.. I advised him to keep it up to let people know that it wouldn't work. his response was.. "whatever man". i think this should be left up here to let people know that it will not work.

I edited your post because you posted the actual instructions, step by step, which, if someone followed those instructions, would brick their phone. My "whatever, man" response was to your passive-aggressive private messages, not to your initial post.

And I see you've been able to get that chip off your shoulder rather nicely. Good job letting that one go.



As always, flashing other hardware's firmware (be it kernel, /system, reocvery, modem, etc..) is always a bad idea.
