Frozen cliq please help

I just got a motorola cliq and after not even 3 hours the phone stopped and went to the boot screen. It has been on the boot screen for over 5 hours now and pulling out the battery doesn't help cause it can't get past the boot screen at all. I am taking it back to T-mobile, but in the mean time does anyone know how to do a hard reset like the one on the G1 where you press home and power at the same time and you get the command prompt screen. The only info I have gotten for the Cliq is to go to settings and reset the phone but I can't do that since the phone won't boot up. PLEASE HELP.

Straight from Tmo Tech Care

Remove battery, and then press and hold the CAMERA KEY and POWER KEY together while inserting the battery until the boot loader menu appears. The Motorola logo may appear for several seconds until it loads. When it does load the boot menu, press the VOLUME DOWN KEY within 10 seconds of that menu appearing, and then follow the directions for a master reset (press ALT+W, ect).
