I want this update but if its not ready then I'd rather wait. From what I'm hearing its messing up people's phones. Im in no hurry to have my phone get jacked up. I'm scared to root my phone so ill just wait. Its not that serious.

Nobody is taking into account, that these updates are nothing but a joke. You get 2 leaks about 2 months ago. Now when its time to release it, there's problems. What happen to it is being tested? Just a bunch of lies !!!!!!!!!

Why don't you take your complaints to Samsung or att? Nothing can be done in this forum. Again it's not that serious.

You're the one who's complaining, not me. You whine about every update. Nobody wants to hear about how you hate your phone, or how you hate AT&T, or how you hate Samsung. You were given alternatives, but you would rather rant like a child. Get a pair, and grow up!!! Have a nice day.:p

When have I ever said I hate this or that. Get you damn fact straight. I wish we could meet, so I can show you a child rant. I f you don't like what people say, stop reading!!!!! Have a nice day👏

I'm on this website because i own and use a SGSIII, and my carrier is AT&T. I've had it with this whining before every update. Unless i get banned, for saying what most people are thinking, i'm staying. Will some Mod please talk to this guy soon? His crying is really laughable! :D

Man look, I could care less about a damn phone. You always popin off at the mouth about root your phone or some other smart *** comment. So you need to do everybody here a favor, and shut the hell up!!!!!!

If you could really care less about a damn phone, then why do you keep coming on here whining about delayed updates for the phone that you could care less about? Throw the phone away, and keep your mouth shut!!! End of story.:p

To be fair, rizzymo, you did vent a bit about there being months of QA and such. There are always people complaining about bugs, and when in-place updates have problems that a fresh install does not. Complaining when there are delays is normal, complaining about bugs is another. My own complaint is more about performance on 1GB versions delaying updates for those with 2GB phones, since we don't know if our AT&T versions of the Galaxy S3 would have the problems the Euro/International version have had.

In this particular situation, it is fair for a lot of people to feel frustrated, but at least this time, the delay isn't due to AT&T just screwing around and not releasing an update that everyone else has had for months.

I am in the uk so therefore hsve a 1gb ram phone. Many problems since the update. I dine a factory reset to clean the phone and start a fresh but serous lock screen lag (sometimes I hsve to pull the battery out to get the phone to come back on) music not playing properly etc etc. Im gonna wait for a fix then redo my phone as I had before. Whats done is done.

I never vented about anything. All I said that when they say their testing the software, it can't be true with the bugs and glitches that is happening. If they skipped a version, they were working on this one for at least 3 months. So 3 months of working and testing, and bugs are still there on release. That's all I was saying.

If the testing was done on a clean-installed environment, and not on a device that gets updated, that would explain the entire situation. Clean install via a firmware image, and taking an existing install of 4.1.2 and then upgrading to 4.3 are two VERY different things. Take apps on top of that, launchers, keyboards, anti-virus, etc, and there is plenty of room for problems.

Now, if a factory reset after an update still has problems, it may still be due to the upgrade process, rather than a clean install, so it is still possible testing was done, but not on the critically important "update for existing devices". Ever see the difference on a Windows based machine between a clean install of Windows, compared to an upgrade? A clean install may be PERFECT, while the upgraded result may have a ton of problems.

I am in the process of downloading a 623.10 MB software update on my S3 right now. We'll see how it goes.

That's the way it looks. I have never been one to update early. Saw a note on Reddit about it and decided to Check for Updates. I am at 90% now. I may be sorry in the end.
