Fry's pulls listing

At 8am PST Fry's had both models listed with out of stock as the status. Listing has been pulled completely.

What is it with retailers pulling listings completely vs leaving the status as out of stock?

My guess is they severely underestimated their stock needs, and rather than having orders pile up for something they don't know when they are going to get from Asus, they are playing the out of sight out of mind approach.

Do what newegg is doing then, auto notify when available and not taking any orders.

It's probably fry's way of handling no stock available. Their site and other systems seem to be pretty limited.

Anyone know what the Fry's Item # is for the Transformer?

Retailers will take a product like the Transformer down because the listing will stop people from ordering anything else.

Take it down and the customer doesn't know any better and you might still buy a Xoom.

I got mine at their B&M store, they only had 1 in stock (and no one knew anything about it until I gave them the PLU#, so you may want to ask them to check that straight away). They didn't have any keyboard dock in stock though.
