Full Google Gestures

What's right there? I love Google feed because I'm deep into Google services. Google feed shows news/recommendations based on YouTube history, Google search history and other Google activity. It works great for me with recommendations even though people say it's gone downhill over the last few years but not for me. Yes they know pretty much everything about me and I'm fine with that . I trust Google, Microsoft and Apple with my data.

On the other hand I don't like anything about Samsung daily it adds zero value to me and I don't use any of Samsung apps or services.

Personal choice of course and everyone can have their own preference.
I'm not crazy about Samsung daily either and it's off on mine.

Same here on my pixel 4 XL I always come back to Pixel launcher even if try Nova or other launcher. Something with Pixel launcher just feels right to me.

Even on Samsung phones now I have settled with default launcher, only thing I miss is Google feed instead of crappy Samsung daily option. I know that's never going to be an option lol.

This. I slated Pixel Launcher for a long time but when Google removed gesture support for 3rd party launchers I went with it begrudgingly but it really grew on me after a week or so and I even stuck with it after they added gesture support back. I did miss the same things as OneUi launcher though. Swiping app icons for shortcuts and being able to change icons. Google feed to the left is a huge one for me though. I'm using Samsung Daily but its close to useless. Even Bixby feed it replaced was better as it showed reminders etc in the feed

I have read that this is Google's fault, the thing is though the gestures work fine on Nova on both the Pixel and OnePlus 7 pro. They also work fine on the P30 Pro but that wa not android 10 so probably does not count.

There has to be a Samsung element at play here too?

The mere fact that Samsung have said publicly that THEY promise to return the feature with OneUI 2.5 later in the year tells me all I need to know.
