Full Immersive Screen mode

I found an app called "all in one gestures". works well but will disable the keyboard when in immersive mode.

You need to join the website to view the link. Not joining forbes to see one article.

Sorry but I really don't know why you say that as I'm not registered with them (in fact I can see the Login link at the top) and I can see the article and all the information on that link.

Not sure either, happens on both Chrome and IE. Now on Chrome I am being told to turn off adblocker, odd that I haven't had an adblocker on in a few months now yet this is not the only site to ask me to turn off my adblocker. Odd when I can see the ads on the site, of course I can see ads and not the article. I guess their website knows I am broke AF and I can't even afford to look at their website.

For those of you that would like the Navigation bars to hide while on Apps you can follow this instructions, it works great. You will have the option to hide it all the time including while you are on the Home Screens (I personally don't like that) or available during the Home Screens but hide during the apps.

Has anybody run into any issues after doing this? I really want to do it but I don't want to deal with a bunch of glitching after it's done. I know it's reversible, but I won't even bother if it screws anything up.

I use full immersive mode all the time and absolutely love it. The only "issue" I ran into was that the Samsung internet would not allow for more than one tab and you're not able to open others. I've been using Samsung internet beta instead and have no issues with tabs.

Great! Thanks for the response! I actually just did it and love it! I'm using shortcutter, so I can toggle on and off on the fly when I need to, and it's perfect so far. Thanks for letting me know about the Samsung internet issue, I'll definitely keep it in mind as I do utilize it on occasion, though chrome tends to be my main choice usually.

Just thought I'd come back and point out the app Swipe Navigation. It's AMAZING used in conjunction with full immersive mode. You'll have a much easier time navigating through the phone with this combination. Enjoy! :-)

What is full immersive mean and do?
Immersive mode allows you to hide the status bar, navigation bar or both. To bring up the navigation bar you would swipe up from the bottom of the screen. It is then visible for a few seconds before it is hidden again.

That is cool, lets see if I can get it to work for me.

With Swipe Navigation you don't have to worry about swiping up from the bottom to get the nav bar. It brings things back to one action for Back Home and Recents vs two actions having to swipe to bring up the nav bar and then tap. Much more speedy and fluid. Just throwing that out there for anyone else who might be interested...

I don't use swipe navigation so wouldn't know. I prefer ADB since I don't like having to download additional apps for something I can do without one. Thanks for the info though. 😊

👍

Though I'm not sure how you can do exactly what Swipe Navigation does with only adb...

I'm sure there is someone else who will appreciate what this combination brings to the overall experience of the S8/+ ... My mistake quoting you, as I wasn't only posting for just you, but for everyone.
